Ahead of Tuesday’s Pennsylvania primary, Ted Cruz’s new ads paint the Democratic and Republican front-runners for president as out of touch with the American people.
One ad, titled “Not Easy,” showed Trump talking about his struggles to make do with a $1 million loan from his father and Clinton talking about her family leaving the White House “dead-broke.”
“They just don’t get it. Ted Cruz does,” a narrator said in the ad. “That’s why he’ll cut taxes for working families, roll back regulations, and repeal Obamacare. Jobs, freedom, security for you. For a change.”
Another ad, titled “Right,” details the high stakes of the presidential race as tied to Clinton’s candidacy.
“Obama was a failure. Hillary could be worse. We have to get this right,” a narrator said in the ad. “Ted Cruz will.”
Earlier on Thursday, the Cruz team released a web ad imagining a Clinton war room anticipating a Trump candidacy.
A third ad, titled “Solutions,” features Cruz speaking at a presidential debate on Fox News while flashing images of young people, small business owners and manufacturing workers.
The Cruz campaign described the ad as an “inspirational spot embracing an American public that is interested in solutions and not slogans from their president.”
The Texas senator will visit Pennsylvania on Friday, and has scheduled rallies in Williamsport, Scranton, and Allentown.
