Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday returned to his roots in his latest political ad that features a Simon and Garfunkel song.
The ad takes a 180-degree turn from the past few weeks of infographics and direct comparisons with Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton the Sanders’ campaign has released over the past few weeks. Instead, the ad features no words, just images of his campaign launch in Burlington, Vt., and what appears to be Vermont constituents going about their daily routine, as the Simon and Garfunkel song “America” plays in the background.
With less than two weeks until the primaries kick off, Sanders trails Clinton in Iowa by less than five points, but leads in New Hampshire by more than 12 points.
