Dedicating two chapters of “Mein Kampf” to the subject, the patron of the art that brought us Leni Riefenstal and Joe Goebbels became a propaganda champion after watching Germany’s trouncing in World War I, which came in no small part because of British propaganda efforts directed against it by the not-so-subtly named “Ministry for the Destruction of the German Confidence.”
