Eleven police officers were recently recognized for their efforts to reduce drunken driving in the Washington area. The Washington Regional Alcohol Program presented its yearly awards to officers who worked to get impaired drivers off the roads. The officers were Greg Holden of the Alexandria police, Avery Carroll of the Arlington County police, Joseph Woloszyn of the Fairfax County police, Katie Baldwin of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Darwin R. Bennett of the Maryland State Police, Alexander Pope of the D.C. police, Gary Finch of the Montgomery County police, Mark Phillips of the Prince George’s County police, Jeremy Schenck of the Prince William County police, Christopher Gogarty of the U.S. Park Police and Michael S.
