“Saturday Night Live” began with a spoof paid message from the Russian Federation to citizens of the United States.
In it, Russian President Vladimir Putin (played by SNL’s Beck Bennett) told Americans that they, along with the Russians, put Donald Trump into the White House.
“Yesterday we all made Donald Trump the 45th president of the United States,” Bennett said to the camera.
Alec Baldwin’s Trump was conspicuously absent, but Bennett told American fretting over and protesting Trump’s inauguration Friday not to worry.
The U.S. “is not” in Trump’s hands, Bennet said.
“Puti is going to make everything OK,” he said.
