The motorcade for Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine’s fell victim to a motor vehicle collision Saturday evening near Tampa, Fla.
A car rammed into the side of the press bus in the Kaine motorcade as they were heading to the airport, according to multiple reports from journalists on social media. One journalist said the press bus was hit by what seemed to be a police car at “high speed.”
Our press bus was just hit on the side at very high speed by what appeared to be a police car as we are in motorcade towards airport.

No injuries were reported. Kaine was not in the vehicle that was hit, and was reportedly several cars ahead.

Fox News’ Pat Ward tweeted that Kaine was informed of the collision shortly after he boarded a plane.
One photo posted to social media showed what appeared to be minor scratches and dents in the bus.

The incident occurred after Kaine appeared at a get-out-the-vote rally in St. Petersburg with singer Bon Jovi.
