Henry Schein buying Irish veterinary distributor

MELVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — Medical supply distributor Henry Schein Inc. said Friday it is buying Irish veterinary pharmaceutical distributor C&M Vetlink. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Henry Schein said C&M Vetlink distributes pharmaceutical products to veterinarians in Ireland. It said the company had about $55 million in revenue over the 12 months ended July 30, and about 70 percent of its revenue came from products that are used for dairy animals and other livestock.

Henry Schein reported $8.53 billion in revenue in 2011. It said the deal will be neutral or add slightly to its net income in 2013. Its shares closed at $76.94 on Thursday.
