Zayn Malik might still be a part of One Direction … in another dimension.
British cosmologist Stephen Hawking received a question from a distraught Directioner during his remarks at the Sydney Opera House over the weekend and cited “theoretical physics” as reason for fans to believe that Zayn is still a member of the beloved boy band.
“Finally a question about something important,” Hawking, who spoke at the event via hologram streamed from Cambridge, England, told the young fan, according to Reuters.
“My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay attention to the study of theoretical physics because, one day, there may well be proof of multiple universes,” explained Hawking.
“It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another, different universe and, in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction,” he continued.
Undoubtedly, Hawking’s remarks will deliver fans at least a brief reprieve from grief following Zayn’s abrupt decision to leave One Direction late last month.
