D.C. Council Chair Vincent Gray said Wednesday that he will likely schedule the committee vote on Mayor Adrian Fenty’s education bill for April 3.
The measure, Fenty’s public-school takeover proposal, has been well-discussed during a half-dozen committee hearings since February, Gray said, and all voices have been heard.
“The case has been made for change,” said Gray, whose first order as chairman was to bring education-related matters under the jurisdiction of the Committee of the Whole, which he directs.
