Trump wishes Ruth Bader Ginsburg a ‘speedy recovery’

President Trump sent well wishes to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Friday.

The 85-year-old had two cancerous nodules removed from her left lung earlier in the day at a New York hospital. The malignant growths were discovered after she fractured three ribs in a fall in November.

“Wishing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg a full and speedy recovery,” Trump tweeted.

Trump sent similar wishes to the judge last month as her ribs were recovering.

“I wish her well. She said something very inappropriate during the campaign, but she apologized for it,” he told reporters Nov. 9.

“I wouldn’t say she’s exactly on my side, but I wish her well, I hope she gets better, and I hope she serves on the Supreme Court for many years,” Trump said.

Ginsburg sparked controversy during the 2016 election for calling Trump a “faker.” She later apologized.

Ginsburg said in July that she hoped to stay on the bench at least another five years.
