The Senate Ethics Committee announced it has opened a preliminary probe into allegations of sexual misconduct against Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn.
Franken is accused of groping women and kissing them inappropriately.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., called on the panel to investigate Franken, who has repeatedly offered apologies, but has been careful to say he did not either does not remember the events in question or remembered them “differently.”
