Amanda Knox defends Stormy Daniels: I would love to talk to her

Amanda Knox, who was imprisoned for years in Italy after being accused of killing her college roommate in 2007, defended porn star Stormy Daniels against critics who have taken aim at the film star’s sexuality.

Knox spoke with NBC’s Megyn Kelly on Friday about her new documentary series, “The Scarlet Letter Reports,” about how women move past negative publicity when they’re vilified by tabloids and on social media.

“Just because [Stormy Daniels] is an adult film star doesn’t mean she isn’t telling the truth,” Kelly said, noting that Daniels has contradicted herself about her alleged affair with President Trump.

Knox said she would love to talk with Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford.

“I remember reading an opinion article about how we can’t slut-shame Stormy Daniels anymore because, oh, the president is also a slut himself,” Knox said. “And it’s like, well, why are you nostalgic for the time when we could slut-shame the woman and make her shut up?”

Throughout 2011, Trump took to Twitter to defend Knox’s innocence.
