Two men have been charged in a Manassas burglary spree after stolen items showed up on Craigslist, Prince William County police said.
Thomas M. Lopez, 19, of the 8600 block of Terrace View Court, and Larry S. Salamanca, 19, of the 8500 block of Fairfax Street, are accused of committing a string of burglaries in the Bull Run area.
Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok said 11 burglaries were reported in the area between November and early January, but detectives are still determining how many are linked to Lopez and Salamanca.
Police learned in mid-January that goods stolen in the break-ins were appearing on the classified ad site. Authorities then searched their Manassas homes, police said.
Most of the burglaries took place during the day, when the residents were at work. Laptop computers, jewelry, coins and a handgun were taken from homes.
