Hillary Clinton tried her attempt at modern coffee shop humor in Colorado Monday during a campaign stop with Sen. Mark Udall (D-Colo.).
The pair ordered lattes at a coffee shop in Denver’s Union Station, and the barista had a bit of fun with decorations on their drinks, as reports The Hill.
The coffee brewer drew pictures with the foam atop their lattes, personalizing each one. On Clinton’s beverage, the barista outlined the silhouette of a pig.
Though one might wonder what message he was sending with the swine image, the Denver Post maintains that the pig was inspired by the coffee shop’s name, Pigtrain Coffee Co.
When Udall’s coffee creation arrived, Clinton admired the design.
“And look at you, you got like a plant,” she said to Udall. “Is that a marijuana plant?”
As the barista admitted that Clinton’s guess was “exactly” right, the three individuals had a good chuckle.
Earlier on in her trip to Colorado, Clinton attended a fundraiser for Udall at the Brown Palace, an upscale hotel in Denver. Udall is currently battling Republican Congressman Cory Gardner for the Senate seat, a fight that will be decided in the midterm elections.
Though Clinton might have a laugh about pot, she certainly doesn’t smoke it. During a CNN town hall in the summer, Clinton said of smoking marijuana, “I didn’t do it when I was young, I’m not going to start now.”
