GOP lawmaker: ‘Sometimes a lady needs to be told’ she’s ‘nasty’

A Republican lawmaker agreed with Donald Trump’s debate-night claim that Hillary Clinton is a “nasty woman,” suggesting that “sometimes a lady needs to be told when she’s being nasty.”

“You know what, she’s saying some nasty things,” Texas Congressman Brian Babin, who supports Trump, told liberal radio host Alan Colmes Thursday evening upon being asked if Trump’s description of his Democratic opponent was appropriate.

“I think sometimes a lady needs to be told when she’s being nasty,” he added, noting that Clinton “has got so much baggage” and has “done some nasty things.”

Trump drew criticism following the third and final presidential debate on Wednesday after he dubbed Clinton a “nasty woman” for wanting to raise taxes on wealthy Americans.

“Such a nasty woman,” he said into his microphone, leading female fans of the former secretary of state to show their support by using the hashtag #NastyWoman onTwitter.

“From one #NastyWoman to another, you were an inspiration last night,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., tweeted at Clinton on Thursday.
