Poll: No more Bushes or Clintons in White House

A majority of Americans believe that electing another Clinton or Bush to the presidency will be bad for the country.

The sixth annual 2015 American Values survey found that 54 percent of all Americans feel that electing either Hillary Rodham Clinton or Jeb Bush would be a mistake, the latest evidence that the nation’s voters are looking for new faces.

However, there was a split between Democrats and Republicans which is playing out in the primary race where Clinton continues to lead and Bush is struggling.

The poll from the Public Religion Research Institute found that most Democrats, 57 percent, don’t agree that electing a Bush or Clinton would be “bad for the country.”

But among Republicans, 61 percent agree; among Tea Party members, 69 percent agree; and among independents, 60 percent agree.
