Trump was ’embarrassed’ that Pence family was bringing pets to DC: Report

President Trump was embarrassed when he found out in January that Vice President Mike Pence was bringing his family pets to the Naval Observatory to live with him, according to a report Tuesday.

“He was embarrassed by it; he thought it was so low class,” a long-time adviser told the Atlantic. “He thinks the Pences are yokels.”

At the time they moved into the Naval Observatory, which for decades has served as the vice presidential residence, the Pence family included two cats, a rabbit, and a snake. However, after the death of one of their cats, the Pences welcomed a new kitten and puppy.

While the Pence family pets have quickly risen to Internet fame, particularly rabbit Marlon Bundo, Trump is the first president in over 150 years to not have a pet in the White House according to a report from the New York Post.
