President Trump made a visit to the Pittsburgh area to give a speech at the Shell cracker plant at 2:10 p.m., which is under construction, along the Ohio River in Beaver County.
KDKA reports this is the second visit Trump has made to the area after making a visit to the Tree of Life Synagogue, where a mass shooting took place last October.
“We’re really excited the President of the United States is coming,” Shell Pennsylvania’s External Relations Director Michael Marr told KDKA money editor Jon Delano on Monday. “It’s really the opportunity for our workers to showcase all the good work they’re doing to build a new facility that will have jobs in this region for years and generations to come.”
Once built, the plant will take natural gas and break it down to make plastic pellets.
