White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the promised contrived beer summit between President Obama, Sgt. James Crowley of the Cambridge police and Henry Louis Gates Jr. may actually go down this week at the White House. Apparently, Crowley likes Blue Moon beer (really, Crowley?) It’s unclear what Gates drinks, but apparently not beer. Obama is a Bud guy.
And seriously, is there any more proof needed that he is indisputably American??
Update: Gibbs at the briefing today asked Wendell Goler of Fox News, “What’s wrong with Budweiser? Why do you hate Budweiser?”
The White House press corps is somewhat judgy about the King of Beers. Some are thinking — not even Stella?
