Wow, that was fast. It’s been only two months since Vincent Gray became mayor and already some District residents have had enough.
A person who goes by the handle “Jaded in D.C.” created a whole line of pro Adrian Fenty products and is selling them online, starting with an “I Miss Fenty” bumper sticker in February and then later adding Fenty coffee mugs, dog sweaters, and an additional bumper sticker that says “Miss Rhee Yet?”
The brainchild behind this new line of D.C. merchandise wouldn’t share his or her identity with us, but said they had lived in Washington for five years and found the actions of the new city government “flat out embarrassing.”
“I developed the ‘I Miss Fenty’ bumper stickers and other products on Zazzle as a way to express my sentiment, and let others share in this feeling,” the anonymous creator told Yeas & Nays. And thanks to the recent spat of mini-scandals “Jaded in D.C.” is offering a “scandal special” on all stickers, which can now be purchased for $3.95.
