Barney Frank is touching on a touchy subject for Joe Biden.
The former Democratic congressman from Massachusetts appeared on “PolitiKING” Tuesday where host Larry King asked him to “say anything” about the vice president.
Frank started out nice enough, labeling Biden “talented” but adding that he lacks discipline.
“Talented and lacks discipline,” Frank began. “Joe is his own worst enemy. He’s a very bright guy [with] very good values.”
The former U.S. representative went on to compliment Biden on his suggestion back in 2006 that Iraq be divided into three separate sections.
However, Frank emphasized the fact that Biden creates problems for himself by giving voice to gaffes and getting too touchy with members of the opposite sex, as the vice president did rather embarrassingly on camera last month with new Defense Secretary Ash Carter’s wife.
“He can’t keep his mouth shut or his hands to himself,” explained Frank, provoking a chuckle out of King. “And it’s out of good intentions, but I think he has unfortunately diminished people’s perceptions of his abilities.”
Should Biden decide to run for president — of which the vice president has admitted himself “there’s a chance” — he should probably get his mouth and hands under control.
After all, nobody wants a groper-in-chief.
