Trump slams ‘unfunny’ ‘Saturday Night Live’ ‘hit job’

Donald Trump has been watching “Saturday Night Live,” and doesn’t approve of its recent slew of political skits in which actor Alec Baldwin has portrayed the brash billionaire.

“Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me.Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!” Trump tweeted Sunday morning.

NBC’s long-running comedy sketch show began its new season on Oct. 1. Since the premiere, every cold opening so far has focused on the election, oftentimes showing Baldwin’s Trump facing off against Kate McKinnon’s Hillary Clinton.

This Saturday’s episode featured the two sparring in the second presidential debate.

Baldwin took over the Trump role this year, after the brash billionaire businessman was played by Darrell Hammond for years. Baldwin’s Trump, a portrayal that includes a wig and orange spray tan, has poked fun of GOP nominee on a number of issues ranging from the lewd 2005 video leak to the way Trump pronounces China.

Despite his criticism of the show’s recent political endeavors, Trump has been an “SNL” guest host multiple times over the years, including an appearance last November.
