Leukemia Ball gets Sinbad, Foreigner

The entertainment has been lined up for one of spring’s signature social events, the Leukemia Ball. Comedian Sinbad and rock band Foreigner will perform at next year’s gala, which marks the event’s 25th year.

In the past, the black-tie affair has attracted the likes of Diana Ross, Jay Leno, Bill Cosby, Dennis Miller, John Mellencamp, Liza Minnelli, Jerry Seinfeld, Dana Carvey, Reba McEntire, Jim Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and Lionel Richie.

The 2012 ball will be held on March 31 at the Washington Convention Center. The evening is expected to raise more than $3.1 million on behalf of the National Capital Area Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
