On Washington talk radio station WMAL this morning, former congressman Allen West refused to rule out a future Republican primary challenge to Sen. Marco Rubio R-Fla.
During the interview, co-host Larry O’Connor asked West if he would run for political office in 2016 – suggesting that he could run against Rubio.
“What about a Allen West primary challenge for that Senate seat?” O’Connor asked.
West said that the idea was “a pretty heavy lift,” and would be a schism within the party that “the other side would love to see happen.”
“We’ll see what happens down the pike,” West concluded.”God will set my feet on the right path.”
