Alexandria police seek information about home attack

A 16-year-old girl was assaulted at an Alexandria home and police are asking the public for information that will lead to an arrest.

At about 8 p.m. Monday, a 16-year-old girl heard a loud noise at the front door of a residence in the 1100 block of Archer Court. When the teenager went to investigate, the suspect grabbed her and pushed her to the floor, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

The suspect fled after the girl’s cell phone rang. Police said the girl wasn’t seriously injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, about 6-feet-1 and 190 to 200 pounds. He is also described as having black hair and a goatee, police said.
