Alba Keus of Lynn, Mass. had only one dying wish: vote for whoever you want in the primaries and upcoming election as long as their names aren’t Donald or J. or Trump.
According to the funeral obituary, Keus (maiden name DiScipio) died last Thursday, age 86, at a hospital in Everett, Mass., “surrounded by her family,” which includes nine children, 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild, so far.
After high school, Keus had gone on to earn a two-year business degree, which qualified her to serve as an executive secretary at T.A.S.C. in Reading until she retired in 1995.
Keus was, per the obitiuary, “an accomplished concert pianist, a voracious reader and a trivia enthusiast. She loved to debate politics. An animal lover, Alba loved nature and enjoyed spending her retirement in the White Mountains.”
Her “greatest joy” came from quality time with the family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchild.
The funeral parlor information included lying-in-state visiting hours and service information. Relatives and friends were “respectfully invited” to attend.
As for floral contributions, the obit advised, “In lieu of flowers, Alba’s request would be that you do not vote for Donald Trump.”
The Trump campaign so far has not responded to Keus’ posthumous anti-endorsement.
