At first it appeared as though weatherman Scot Haney was simply breaking the three-second rule of eating his spilled cereal off the newsroom floor Wednesday. Turns out looks can be deceiving — and taste awful.
Sitting at the news desk alongside three colleagues on live TV, the WFSB meteorologist out of Hartford, Conn. scooped up a handful of what he thought to be his Grape-Nuts. His initial verdict was that they were ‘soggy’.
“They taste like shoes,” he continued, making a facial expression of disgust.
After a few moments of chewing, he realized the food might be “dog do-do” — and during a later on-air report, he confessed what he actually ate was his own cat’s vomit that had become stuck to his shoe and tracked throughout the studio.
“I ate cat vomit, right here on television … and I thought it was Grape-Nuts,” Haney whined. “I’m gonna throw up.”
He didn’t appear too embarrassed about the situation, as he later took to twitter to let the world know about the ordeal.
I thought they were grape nuts on the floor, i ate them. It was actually cat vomit that i must have stepped in at home. It came off my shoe
