Queen for a day
Jordan’s Queen Noor was the featured guest at Rep. Jim Moran’s 16th annual Women’s Issues Conference at Kenmore Middle School in Arlington. Moran, D-Va., and the queen, who owns a home in McLean, have a long-standing friendship.
Looking much younger than her 56 years, the queen addressed her efforts for women’s issues in the Middle East and the developing world before taking questions from the audience. One audience member asked whether she could comment on Hillary Clinton and the current presidential race. “NOOO!!!” she exclaimed, her eyes lighting up.
