Efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare are not dead, President Trump tweeted Sunday.
“Anybody (especially Fake News media) who thinks that Repeal & Replace of ObamaCare is dead does not know the love and strength in R Party!” Trump wrote.
The tweet suggesting the potential for unity among Republicans on health care follows a week of Trump’s attacks on the conservative House Freedom Caucus after the failure of the GOP Obamacare replacement bill, the American Health Care Act.
On Saturday, Vice President Pence said the efforts to kill Obamacare “ain’t over yet.”
“We will repeal and replace Obamacare and give the American people the world-class healthcare they deserve,” he said. “And once Obamacare is gone, we’re going to cut taxes across the board.”
Trump added that talks to repeal the law are ongoing, and he has no plans to stop repeal efforts until “a deal is hopefully struck.”
Talks on Repealing and Replacing ObamaCare are, and have been, going on, and will continue until such time as a deal is hopefully struck.
