West Wing Washout

Looks like the only people taking ex-“West Wing” star Rob Lowe’s picture these days are the forty-something members of the press.

“Who ARE you?” 16-year-old out-of-towner Ryan Finnegan yelled as media mobbed the former Brat Packer in the middle of a PR stunt concerning — you guessed it — environmental activism.

In the wake of the Live Earth festivities, Lowe showed up down the street from the Capitol to take a test drive in a tricked-out, plug-and-play Toyota Prius — the car of choice for any celebrity who wants you to know just how eco-friendly he is. The star arrived in the District on the red eye last night, pairing business with a little bit of vacation.

Earlier, Lowe testified before the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming.
