Agassi is all charity talk, all the time

Tennis great Andre Agassi is making the rounds while he is in town. The former world No. 1 tennis pro will be at Fink’s Jewelers in Tysons Corner on Tuesday to talk about his educational initiatives and promote his charity, The Andre Agassi Foundation for Education. That’s all he will talk about, too, because he will appear with kids who have benefited from the foundation.

Agassi also will autograph tennis balls to the first 100 customers, and for $5, attendees can try out their serve on a Smash Court which will be set up inside of the store. The proceeds from this event will benefit Agassi’s foundation.

And, on Monday, the tennis legend along with other pros helped raise money for another cause — the Elton John AIDS Foundation and local Washington, D.C. Area AIDS charities — at the 18th annual World Team Tennis Smash Hits charity tennis event at Bender Arena at American University.
