Friday afternoon, McCain attended a crowded Latin Builders Association lunch [in Miami]. “As for torture, we know what’s going on as we speak in Castro’s prisons,” said McCain, who spent five years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. “The real answer is the removal of this kind of government.” McCain said that while he was in a Vietnamese prison, Cuba sent a specialist in interrogations to his prison. “He was responsible for the death of some of my friends,” McCain said.
