Aziz Ansari plays Bobby Jindal on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

On Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Jimmy Fallon decided to interview one of the lesser known candidates running for president, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal — played by Aziz Ansari.

Fallon asked Jindal’s character why he was staying in the race when his polling numbers are so low.

“I’m gonna stop you right there Jimmy because I’m not polling at one percent,” said Ansari in a horribly bad southern accent. “I was polling at one percent, I’m now polling at two percent. That’s a 100 percent increase. It’s a huge difference, you ever taste one percent milk, it’s barely milk it’s like drinking white water, but man when you start dumping that two percent milk on your Apple Jacks it’s like POW! You can taste the fat, it’s a game changer and actually that is my new campaign slogan, ‘Jindal 2016, taste the fat.'”

Ansari came in and out of a southern accent throughout the interview.

When asked about the low turnout to his campaign events, Ansari said, “if you call packing a Long John Silvers to the brim a small turnout.”
