Update, 3:20 p.m.: Army Secretary John McHugh said at a press conference that 211 graves at Arlington Cemetery have problems of misidentification or improper
record keeping, the AP is reporting.
Defense officials said the Army has appointed a new chief of the grave sites.
The Army said it plans a more thorough investigation of the gravesites in
question.
It is not clear who is buried at some of the graves in Arlington Cemetery, the Associated Press is reporting.
Officials said that in some cases, a grave marker was not placed soon enough after burial or records were not properly kept.
On Thursday, Army Secretary John McHugh is set to release the results of an investigation that officials say reveal problems with tracking some of the burials.
