Robert Mueller’s financial disclosure is released

Special counsel Robert Mueller had made almost $3.5 million since 2016 from his former law firm before taking on the Russia investigation, according to a financial disclosure form released by the Justice Department on Tuesday.

At his former firm, WilmerHale, Mueller represented prominent businesses including Facebook, Apple, Intel, Sony Pictures, Booz Allen Hamilton, and the National Football League.

Mueller also was an active public speaker, having made about $162,000 since the beginning of 2016 from such engagements, including an address he gave to Goldman Sachs, the report said.

The assets of him and his spouse are valued at between $4.2 million and $15.2 million.

Politico first reported the details of Mueller’s disclosure form.

Mueller, a former FBI director under two administrations, was named special counsel in May to probe Russia’s election interference and whether the Trump campaign conspired with Moscow.
