WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court won’t immediately block Texas’ ban on most abortions, but agrees to hear arguments on Nov. 1.

The Texas attorney general asked the Supreme Court to allow the law to remain in place while it is being challenged despite the Department of Justice’s emergency request that the court block the law while its constitutionality is under consideration.
The court will also hear a case against a Mississippi abortion law this term.
