WCI Communities Inc. returned all deposits to people holding reservations for the planned Plaza Residences tower in downtown Columbia. But their reservations are still in place, according to a statement from Robert Grabner, vice president and senior project manager of WCI?s Tower Division.
The sales center also is now open on an appointment-only basis, Grabner said.
The tower?s site development plan has been appealed to the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. A date for the hearing has not been set and is not expected to be held before June, Grabner said.
The Howard Circuit Court on Jan. 16 dismissed a petition for judicial review, which Grabner called “the latest in a string of rulings that favor construction of The Plaza Residences.”
