Cha-ching: Democrats fast to raise money off Obamacare victory

An hour after the White House won another key Supreme Court endorsement of Obamacare, the Democratic Party was raising money on the decision, warning it needed help to fend off GOP moves to kill it in Congress.

Party Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz just sent out this note:

This morning, the Supreme Court ruled that the millions of Americans who are relying on the Affordable Care Act’s subsidies to pay for health insurance will be able to keep their affordable coverage.

This is so important. After two Supreme Court victories, we can confidently declare that the Affordable Care Act is no longer just a law to be debated — it is woven into the fabric of our society and how we care for each other.
But while we have a lot to celebrate today, we can’t forget that the GOP has always been — and is still, even though the Court has ruled twice that Obamacare is the law of the land — single-mindedly focused on repealing this law that has helped so many Americans afford quality health insurance. They’re the reason we had to take this fight to our nation’s highest court in the first place, and each and every one of their candidates for president has traveled around the country promising repeal.

So while we can (and should!) take a moment to enjoy this, let’s not forget that our Republican opposition just doesn’t understand that this debate is over — they’re going to keep fighting to undo the progress we’ve made. We can’t let that happen.

Add your name to say you’re in to elect Democrats in 2016 who will fight to protect health care reform:

As a breast cancer survivor, I know what it means to have the peace of mind that you can afford needed treatment and won’t be turned away down the road for having a pre-existing condition. As a mother, I know I can rest assured that my children will have a safety net in place as they go out into the world, starting their own careers and families without having to worry about whether they will be able to get the care they need. That wouldn’t be true today without you.
Thanks so much for your support, Clinton.
