There’s been some movement this month on the mastheads of Washington’s main glossies.
First, Capitol File’s Kate Bennett left her position as editor in chief to become Washingtonian’s Wedding and Style editor. To fill that void, Capitol File gave publisher Sarah Schaffer a new role that expands into editorial, naming her president and editor in chief of the Niche Media publication.
Also earlier this month, Washington Life’s executive editor Michael Clements announced via Twitter that he would be leaving the magazine at the end of March to explore other ventures. Clements is the “chief creative enabler” for ArtJamz, which hosted pop-ups that paired painting with drinking. ArtJamz opened its first permanent retail location in Dupont Circle last week.
