The Simpsons posted a teaser for an upcoming episode that satirized President Trump’s first 100 days in office on Wednesday.
The teaser opens showing White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer having committed suicide, hanging in the briefing room with a sign around his neck that reads “I quit.”
During another prominet scene in the video, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat is replaced with first daughter Ivanka Trump. After being ripped from her chair by Secret Service members Ginsburg yells “You said you would replace me with Garland,” in reference to former President Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland that was shot down by Republicans.
The animated comedy show’s teaser also includes depictions of Counselor to the President Kellaynne Conway, White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, Senior Advisor to the President Jared Kushner and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
Throughout “The Simpsons” 28 seasons, the show has continually made efforts to integrate topical and culturally relevant content to keep it cutting edge. In fact, some argue that it even predicted President Trump all the way back in the year 2000.
