A firm is opening a new business center in Manassas geared toward companies that don’t want to deal with the details of setting up office space.
The Regus Group, a Dallas-based company in the business of helping companies outsource their office space needs, has signed a lease agreement to open a 20,000-square-foot facility that will include 82 offices, 149 workstations, two conference rooms and one videoconferencing studio.

The firm bills itself as a “one-stop shopping” source for office space, providing everything from telephone systems to copy machines and even office supplies.
“An individual can sign an agreement and be working in one of our offices the same day,” said Michael Berretta, vice president of business development for The Regus Group.
Regus has been in the Northern Virginia and D.C. markets for years, but this is the first time it has branched into Prince William County, Berretta said.
The company has been able to grow for a number of reasons, Berretta said. For one thing, there is an increased trend of major companies outsourcing their office needs so they can concentrate on their core businesses, he said. The company has also chosen to expand into areas where existing corporate clients — most of them Fortune 1000 companies — have demand, and in areas closer to residential bases so individuals have decreased commuting costs.
“We’re finding more and more you don’t have to have offices in traditional corporate centers,” Berretta said. “They’re more interested in staying close to home.”
Berretta did not have a timeline on when clients will begin moving into the office building, or any names of future occupants.
