Fox Business star Maria Bartiromo Friday drew attention to presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s latest gaffe and suggested that it was the result of “a cognitive issue.”
Discussing the 77-year-old’s hit on the black community for not being as diverse as the Hispanic community, she said, “There’s a gaffe every day. There’s clearly a cognitive issue here.”
The host of Mornings with Maria added, “We know that Joe Biden has one brain aneurysm, and I think it’s two, actually.”
While Democratic strategist Michael Starr Hopkins suggested instead that the gaffe was just Biden being “inarticulate,” Bartiromo came back with, “You believe he is in a position to run the free world?”
With the discussion also touching on President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus crisis, the host said, “Frankly, I think it’s really, you know, disappointing that anybody would put him out in this condition. It’s very sad to see.”
The comments add to many others suggesting that Biden might not be up for the job and that who he picks for his running mate is more important than ever.
Earlier this week, in a separate interview that added another gaffe to the fire, he addressed a question about taking a cognitive test. Then, he said, “I am very willing to let the American public judge my physical and mental fil—, my physical as well as my mental fil—, fitness, and to make a judgment about who I am.”
