Want a copy of the President Obama‘s birth certificate? No problem. Now all you have to do is send a donation to the Obama campaign — they’re now selling novelty items featuring that very thing.
“There’s really no way to make this stuff completely go away. The only thing we can do is laugh at it — and make sure as many people as possible are in on the joke,” said Julianna Smoot deputy manager for the Obama reelection campaign in an email which was sent to supporters on Wednesday. Along with the email came links for t-shirts and coffee mugs with a picture of Obama above the words “Made in the USA” on the front, and a copy the president’s birth certificate on the back. “Last year, the president said, ‘I can’t spend all of my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead,'” read the email. “This is about as close as we can get.”
