A couple has been charged with child abuse and neglect in the drowning death of their 1-year-old daughter.

Fairfax County police said Wreef Wafy Almutiri drowned inside a room at the Westin Hotel, located at 11750 Sunrise Valley Drive in Reston, on Sept. 18.
