A camera crew in Texas managed to capture the moment the driver of a semi-truck lost control of the vehicle and plowed into the scene of a multi-car pileup.
Two were injured in the crashes Friday on Highway 84 in Lubbock County, Texas. Deputies were initially responding to a two-vehicle crash at about 10:45 a.m. As authorities investigated, a semi-truck jackknifed and ended up in the median.
After the truck crashed, several other cars then crashed into the back of the semi. At that point, KCBD was filming as a red SUV changed lanes causing a third semi to jackknife and slide toward the camera on its side. Troopers can be seen running from the barreling vehicle as it crushes a white pick-up truck and comes to rest right in front of the camera.

A state trooper who was hit by the sliding semi was taken to the hospital and a man who was trapped inside another vehicle that the semi came to rest on was removed and taken to hospital in serious condition.
In total, there were five crashes involving four semi-trucks and four smaller vehicles. Seven units from the Lubbock Fire Department with 19 staff members, including the chief were called to the scene of the chaos.
Thick fog in the area had created hazardous driving conditions across the area of the accident.
