[WATCH] Project Veritas reveals more Obamacare navigator fraud

President Barack Obama helped the public image of Obamacare on Thursday by announcing that people would, in fact, be able to keep their insurance plans if they had been dropped. But the latest video from Project Veritas again shines a light on one of the laws other flaws — navigators telling people to lie.

Earlier this week, James O’Keefe’s group — which looks to expose corruption, fraud and other lawbreaking — released a video showing that some Obamacare navigators encouraging people to lie on their health insurance applications in order to get lower premiums. To combat allegations that their video showed an isolated incident, Veritas revealed more instances of fraud in their video on Thursday.

The group attached hidden cameras to investigators who were talking to navigators in Texas. The investigators admitted to the navigators that they had additional sources of income other than their main jobs. Instead of urging the investigators to report that income on their taxes as well as their Obamacare paperwork, the navigators advised them to defraud the government.

“To get a lower premium, I wouldn’t include it,” one navigator tells the Veritas investigator. “If I was cutting grass on the weekends and they were just giving me money, that’s my money.”

Other navigators say much of the same thing, counseling the Veritas investigators to not report income they receive in cash without a receipt, as long as they don’t report it on their taxes.

Perhaps most humorous or surprising is the navigator in the video who says he has been completely unable to get anyone signed up for health insurance through the website.

“I haven’t been able to get anybody logged in,” the man explains. “We’ve been able to do like the first part, where you can just apply for an account. But to actually get in and do the paperwork, we have not been able to.”

The navigator adds that he has even tried to log into the website on off time, such as the middle of the night, but remains unable to complete his paperwork.
