CHICAGO (AP) — Delays are expected this weekend on the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago as a major bridge construction project continues. Transportation officials are warning that traffic backups could be worse than last weekend.

The Illinois Department of Transportation says westbound traffic on Interstate 90/94 is being diverted around the downtown bridge demolition site. The detour is fairly complicated.
