Actor: Obama’s ‘a Muslim’ and he’s ‘with the bad guys’

Following his speech during the evening session of the Republican convention in Cleveland on Monday, actor and model Antonio Sabato Jr. said that in his heart, he believes President Obama is “absolutely” a Muslim.

“We had one, we had a Muslim president for seven-and-a-half years,” the Trump supporter told ABC News.

His remarks echo one charge of the birther movement, which sees the president as a foreigner and perhaps a Muslim in disguise. Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump too fanned the flames of the popular conspiracy theory, becoming one of the movement’s leading voices during the run-up to the 2012 election.

“I don’t believe the guy is a Christian, I don’t believe he follows the God that I love and the Jesus that I love,” said Sabato Jr. “I think that he has had an agenda from the beginning.”

Sabato Jr. added that he believes Obama is “on the other side,” referring to the Middle East. “He’s with the bad guys,” he said.
