Angelina Jolie appears on the new cover of W breastfeeding, in a photo partner Brad Pitt took — and the interview inside is just as intimate and revealing. The Oscar winner admits Brad swayed her from her vow never to have biological children.
“I think one of the life-changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do,” the now mom of six — three adopted, three biological — reveals.
Watching her man interact with adopted kids Maddox and Zahara reassured the “Changeling” star: “I knew that he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace.”
“I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to [getting pregnant],” she says. “I suddenly wanted to. It’s one of those things you can’t explain.”
We seem to recall Angie once admitting that her first pregnancy, with Shiloh, now 2, was unplanned. But far be it from us to detract from the absolute perfection that is Brangelina.
Jen: ‘Needy’?
And now we turn from the blissful Brangie brood to poor, lonely Jennifer Aniston to ask: Why the heck is she so unlucky in love?
The ever-helpful Star has unearthed some supposed reasons why the beautiful actress, despite having landed a string of A-list hotties, can’t seem to keep a man. What freaks guys out, the tabloid claims, is Jen’s “unrealistic expectations,” which supposedly stem from her failed relationship with—you guessed it — ex-husband Brad Pitt.
“Jen goes too far, too fast with her boyfriends,” a source explains to Star. “She flies into nesting mode early on in the relationship, and it scares them off. It’s way too much — she gets so needy and territorial.”
One big-time deal-breaker the former “Friends” star allegedly commits: bringing up her ex-hubby to new loves. “Jen talks about him a lot, like, daily,” a longtime friend admits. “It’s sad.”
In fairness to Jen, if we had to stare at our gorgeous ex, his gorgeous new girlfriend and their gorgeous kids on the cover of every magazine, we’d probably have a tough time getting over him too.
Tween angst
Another Hollywood cad has broken up with his girlfriend on the phone. This time, however, the adolescent behavior was appropriate: The couple in question are Joe Jonas, 19, and Taylor Swift, 18.
After they dated for several months — without ever confirming they were an item — the Jonas Brothers singer called it quits with the country up-and-comer in early October, an insider told Us.
Oh, well — she’s 18, and she’s a country singer. She’s supposed to get her heart broken once or twice.
Miffed Minnillo?
In case you were wondering what’s been up with Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo (fine, you probably weren’t), we wanted to alert you to the fact that the longtime lovebirds may be having trouble in paradise.
During dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (look, they haven’t worked in a while) in late September, “they appeared to be extremely tense and irritated with each other,” an onlooker dishes to OK!. “They were having some sort of verbal tiff at their table and they looked miffed.”
“They looked dour when they sat down, annoyed over dinner, and still upset by the time they left the restaurant at the end of their meal,” the observer (who apparently didn’t stop staring at them throughout their meal) adds.
Vanessa’s rep insists to the tabloid that “they are still a couple,” and indeed, TMZ cameras caught them having lunch in Hollywood on Wednesday. This whole “tiff” couldn’t have been staged to remind us they still exist, could it? Nah.
