The last day to register for the District of Columbia’s special election is Tuesday. The special election will be held May 1 to fill the vacant seats of the D.C. Council in Ward 4 and Ward 7 and the D.C. Board of Education District 2 seat.
Registration is accepted at the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics office, 441 Fourth St. NW, Suite 250 North, One Judiciary Square building. People can also register at the board’s Web site, www.dcboee.org, by mail or when obtaining driver’s licenses at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Mail applications are available at public libraries, firehouses and police stations and must be postmarked no later than Monday.
